I heard a woman exclaim on television that God wanted Trump as President of our country. She must have a different God than the one I worship.
Her god accepts a person who is a narcissist, misogynistic, racist and a bully. His principles involve lying, mocking the disabled, grabbing women between the legs and calling dissenters names. He has incited a riot and at his rallies told his followers to “beat the crap” out of anyone who voiced a disproval.
He has cheated on his wives and cheated in his business. He had a phony university and foundation. He has collected millions of dollars since the election that he does not have to account for any of it.
This woman must have a different bible than the Bible I have been reading all of my life. Evangelicals and conservative television and radio pundits must have consulted her bible for they have been supporting him and his idiosyncrasies for the past four years. They and 70 million voters must think that their beliefs are the keys to Heaven.
The God I worship, I believe, would think that all those attributes would be sinful. Fortunately, 80 million voters thought the same way and voted him out of office. I think I will stick to my Bible.
